Coronovirus how we are keeping you safe:
Our Response to Coronavirus (COVID 19)
Dear Patients,
Podiatry is a frontline healthcare profession and with the NHS facing certain crisis private podiatry is essential in taking the strain off our NHS at this difficult time by providing routine care to prevent a need for emergency acute care within the NHS.
Therefore, we at THE foot + body mechanic want to reassure you that the health and safety of our customers and our team is our top priority. To do this, we want to give you an insight into the steps we are taking to be extra vigilant amid the growing concerns around the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As our clinic has a duty of care to remain open, our team is ready to continue to provide you with the services we know you value us for. We also respect your decision not to have treatment at this worrying time but we hope you will understand that we cannot accept any responsibility for the return of your podiatry issues.
Pain and issues with your body don’t take a holiday and can increase with stress and anxiety. We encourage you to keep as active as is safe in order to maintain your muscle, cardiovascular and emotional wellbeing.
Our Customers.
To ensure the health and well-being of all we ask that you:
Be upfront and honest about your travel history and potential exposure, to ensure that all staff and patients (especially our elderly and immunocompromised patients) remain healthy. This doesn’t mean that you will be unable to be treated, just that our team is aware of any precautions that may need to be taken.
Adhere to the advice of Public Health England with regards to the spread and containment of Coronavirus.
If you have returned from any of the countries listed on the government website in recent weeks we ask that you reschedule your appointment to a date that is 14 days or more from the date of your arrival back into the UK.
If you have been told by the NHS to self-isolate due to the possibility of being infected please let us know as soon as possible and we will rearrange your appointment.
If you have visited our clinic within the previous 14 days and have since been diagnosed as having contracted Coronavirus, or have been in proximity to someone who has been diagnosed as having contracted the virus, we ask that you please make us aware so that we can take necessary action.
Our Team.
Our staff have been advised about their responsibilities both at the clinic and away from the clinic, to remain healthy. Clinicians are double cleansing their hands before and after each consultation or treatment and are using gloves and aprons.
Hand sanitisers are also available for you to use within the clinic at any point during your visit, these are located at the reception desk. Our toilets and consultation rooms contain adequate hand washing facilities.
We also have a separate patient and staff toilet facility.
Our Clinic.
Our team always ensures that our clinic rooms are wiped and sanitised before and after each client, and all rooms are thoroughly cleaned overnight ready for the following day.
We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care and cleanliness at all times as Podiatrists we have had 3 years medical training with the NHS always placing infection control at the forefront of our practice.
We have you covered.
Best wishes,
THE foot + body mechanic team.
